The SPEC flywheel I received recently does not fit on my crankshaf hub. The hub OD is about 1.262" dia
My Camaro flywheel ID was 1.264" dia so it fit well
The SPEC flywheel ID is 1.252". Too small, even for interference fit.
They claim that they have sold hundreds of these flywheels without issues
My block is an L26, Series III
Has anyone had similar issues with SPEC aluminum flywheel?
thanks

Spec's attention to details is quite lacking...
Just send them a pic of the flywheel and the undersized measurement. They know what the spec should be and your clearly isn't there. They likely had a worn cutting insert when the center bore was cut making it undersized, which is how they can have hundreds w/o issue but yours be too small.

It seems like the Series II has a different size crank end diameter than the Series III. Not sure- don't have a Series II to confirm.
But SPEC is sending me a new flywheel with a larger bore at N/C and i will return this one.
Can anyone explain to me why both the Camaro flywheel and the SPEC aluminum flywheel have one of the flywheel holes as an oblong slot instead of a round hole? This is one of the 8 holes for fastening the flywheel to the crank
