Is it possible to cancel the "Engine Due For Service Soon" light or do I have to find a dealer with the right tools to do it? In my previous car, when I had done the service I was able to cancel the notification.

I suspect what you are looking at is referred to as the CEL (Check Engine Light). Generally when this is lit it shows that there is a recorded fault code. Will send you a PM with my contact details and can talk you thru it if you want.

Theres a connector near the battery you can unplug for awhile and the light will reset, or you can disconnect the battery for a few mins. But if theres a code, check it and fix it, or the light will come back jack.
