The only place that part number comes up is in one eBay listing.

I'd be more inclined to get This one instead if you absolutely need a new alternator... or This one for a remanufactured unit.

Two years ago, when I had to get an alternator for my '88 Formula, I got This one from RockAuto. It's a 105A ACDelco unit for $83.99, and yes, it's remanufactured... but it'll look and perform like new.

I will admit there was one issue with it which was kind of a nuisance. The unit looked great, but when I went to install it, I realized it had the wrong mounting "ears". The two holes were about half an inch too close to each other, obviously for a different application. (The difference was visually so minimal, that I can understand how the mistake might've been missed when the alternator was boxed up and labeled.) I just swapped on the correct mounting plate from my old alternator... because with me being in Canada, it was just simpler fixing the problem than having to exchange the alternator with RockAuto in the States.

My ORIGINAL Generator/Alternator in my '88 V6 died too (the brushes) and ordered the brand-new ACDELCO 335101 at $111.79 from RockAuto.
My tracking number says I'll get it tomorrow!

Personally, I would hesitate to buy a rockauto or any other online alternator. Not because they're any worse or better than the auto parts store, but it's one of the parts that always seems to have problems in the Fiero application. I typically have to swap out mine every 3 years or so. My lifetime warranty covers it every time and I always insist the parts store test my new one before I waste my time installing it and find out the rebuilt one is bad (ask me how I know lol). I'm fairly ceratain you won't get a lifetime warranty buying from anyone online but I could be mistaken. However, most of the major parts stores do offer lifetimes, and us Fiero owners ofter really make them live up to it since we don't sell our car every four years like most folks.

I will say that I did have good luck with a rebuilt alternator I bought on egay about 15 years ago. It was advertised as a "high capacity" or "high" something or other and I decided to go for it (I think it was only $45 or something as well). And it lasted about a decade I believe before biting the dust which is really good for me. Looking back it was probably a risk because who knows what "high capacity" means or whether the seller actually did anything different than a standard rebuild.

BTW: If your Fiero has the 'regular' factory belt to the alternator...

This is a 'Perfect' time to install either:
Dodgerunner's Belt Tensioner - (search "Fiero Belt Tensioner by Dodgerunner")
or
Rodney's Belt Slip Eliminator Pulley

And Yes, a little more money and time, but worth it!
