Shift solenoid on 88 GT automatic (Page 1/1)

From what I can tell my transmission shift solenoid is not working properly. I have tried to find a diagram of where it is located but with NO success. I ordered the part from O'Rileys but they do not know if it is inside the transmission or on the outside . If anyone can give me a diagram of where it is located I would really appreciate it , thanks.

Most TCC solenoids sold now are Universal ones...
1. Part must be installed right or will fry the diode hidden it them then ECM can fry the "switch" part that runs the solenoid.
2. You follow the wires to the plug at minimum... + wire is from brake pedal switch. - wire is to ECM.

Other thing is 3rd gear switch and don't have doc's right now saying is on + or - wire.

Can drive w/o TCC locking by leaving unplug the trans but hurts HW MPG and heats the trans and oil.
