Had a fire. Could have been way worse. I have a few connectors and senders I need to replace, and this is basically the only unknown soldier. 2 wire comes from harness to connector, then from other side of connector goes down into the manual trans case. Soooo...i need a proper name so I can find the connector.
Thanks![This message has been edited by tbone42 (edited 06-21-2023).]

likely BU Light Switch in the trans.
If just have "Surface damage" then can let stay there. Wire don't carry a lot of amps the light 2 bulbs.
If wires are good, can replace weather pack shells w/o cutting but need right tool to remove the "pins."
New shell don't have the clip that holds it. Clips are separate part and many vendors don't have.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)

If your really worried about it just get a two wire connector from the autoparts store. It could be deutz or any other brand of connector.

Green and blue wires in that location are for the back up light switch.

Thanks everyone, great info. Wires seem fine, backup lights work so I'll try to either get a generic weather connection or see if I can get the pins out.

Connector is trash…..easy way to remove pins is cut plastic a little at a time until the pins are exposed
