Hello all! New member here and I am very impressed with the Fiero community. You guys and gals are very helpful and passionate. I am lucky enough to own an 88 Formula that I purchased in pieces and have finally got it running and back together.
I have a new battery but returned home from 4 days not driving the car to a dead battery. I have run a test on the fuses to determine fuse 8 is sending .2A when the car has been off for over an hour, no key in. I have also noticed that the trunk light and horn do not work (I even tried a new bulb). Additionally, I have noticed there is a 25A fuse in the CTSY (fuse 11) spot but the fuse diagram shows it should be a 20A.
I am not familiar with these cars or troubleshooting wiring issues and was wondering if the community could help me figure out where to start with solving my issue of parasitic drain/other issues. Thanks in advance!

.2 amp should not run bat down in 4 days. I would suspect courtesy light or similar causing the issue. I would use a voltmeter and connect between bat neg and ground and pull fuses one at a time until you get an open circuit. That will be the circuit that is causing the draw. If you own a power probe its even easier to search for problems. My trunk light switch was causing me grief until I realized the paint shop had adjusted the trunk lid without readjusting the light switch.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! I also adjusted the trunk lid switch and still couldn’t get it to function properly. Well, the bulb doesn’t work at all so I guess I really can’t test the switch yet.
I will do the voltmeter test, but should the car be running? Then I assume whatever circuit is my issue I just have to trace all those wires and likely have an open ground or something somewhere to address?

I had posted Here about parasitic battery draw issues I was experiencing. My Subie had a draw of 200mA (which I believe is the same as .2 amp) and it was killing the battery within a week. I realize of course that four days is shorter than one week, but depending on the state of the battery, couldn't a .2 amp draw be killing the OP's battery within those four days?
Full disclosure... electronics is not my strength.

One point of current draw problems on Fieros is sometimes the headlight motors. Pull the connectors and see if that solves it.

Dennis, I believe that was more of an issue with the 1st gen headlight motors... '84-'86. Do the 2nd gen motors ever actually suffer from this issue?
