I know the 88 rear calipers are becoming unicorns, none of the parts stores can get them or rockauto. I know fiero store has rebuild kits, but what about when those run out? Im worried about my car being useless in the future because I cant find a caliper. I know the 88 has a different cradle and brakes, and better suspension. Are the 88 rear brakes better? I know 88 has a diff master. Just wondering could you graft the early calipers onto the 88 w a bracket or some confabulation? Or would we be forced to buy an upgrade kit? Is there an upgrade kit? I know theres issues w finding calipers w a ebrake lever.
Any idears?

Lebaron rotors, camaro front calipers and cadillac seville rear calipers. You have to make adapter plates to mount the calipers. This build has been documented on Pennock's. There are other options. Lack of brake parts is no reason to give up on an '88.

I have at least two spare sets of 88 calipers I have saved from the JY....I converted my 85 SE V6 to 88 rear subframe- with 88 brakes so then converted the front to 88 using C4 rotors plus adapter brackets from Sluppy123- and his aluminum hubs which meant I didn't gain any weight. I did have to install an 88 proportioning valve and then play with the plunger to get the right....."proportion"
