hi all,
does anyone know the thread size on this, where the castle nut goes? it seems m12 but i tried both m12-1.75 and m12-1.25 nuts and neither work.

i tried 1/2-13 and 1/2-20. i dont know what else it could be. i had lost the original castle nuts but just found them in my garage, so i guess i could reuse them - they do fit. i just wonder if the old hardware is worn out so thats why everything fits.

Some auto parts stores have the thread gauges in the bolts and fasteners aisle. Maybe to get new castle nuts, take one and see if it matches any of the studs on the gauge. Just a thought.
