best reasonally priced rear brakes for a 1987. (Page 1/1)

the 1987 i just bought has no provisions on the back brakes to hook up the parking brake.im assuming they are front calipers used on the back.the brakes are terrible so i wiil be replacing them.before i order the correct calipers and new rotors from rockauto im wondering if theres a better solution.people mention 1985 eldorado brakes but i haven't seen a link.i think an emergency brake is important so grand am brakes are a no.

Richard, just buy some rebuilt calipers. NAPA, Pep Boys, Rock Auto, Summit Racing, O'Reilly's have them or can order them in. A month ago, NAPA in Charlotte had calipers for all four corners (they are all different.)
