As far as I'm concerned, unless you are planning to race the car, the most effective upgrade is a set of newly remanufactured / rebuilt calipers, some Wagner TQ pads, and a brake booster from an S-10 pickup. The brake bias is maintained, peddle pressure is reduced and the TQ pads have good stopping ability.

I am another proponent of keeping the stock Fiero brakes unless you are prepared to install a complete matching system and replace all components;, calipers, rotors, and master cylinder.. Keeping the parking brake is also nice. Many here will say that they just used Corvette/Grand AM calipers/rotors and all was OK but that never fit my comfort level. I can stop fine with a functioning stock system in good condition w just Wagner pads and the added S-10 booster.------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
