IMO, I don’t think it matters. Just make sure left and right are the same. Don’t know if that’s really necessary but my OCD tells me to match them.

BTW, I’ll be in NC in late July. Will probably be in Matthews and then Mooresville visiting friends. Let me know if you want to catch up.

i undersiand thats a REALLY long flight.

13h30m to San Fran. 2-1/2 hour layover, 5h to RDU. You don't get much change from a whole day of travelling. Could have flown thru DFW or HOU but that's 16-hours in the air. Trust me, it ain't fun unless you're in the pointy end of the plane (which I can't afford anymore). QANTAS is going to start flyimg SYD to JFK, non-stop. About 21 hours. Not for me...way too long a flight in cattle class.

I've seen different clip styles, but I don't remember seeing non metal pistons.

Pardon the hijack but I recall non metal pistons in some Ford products decades ago. I believe the factory issue was non metal and the replacements were real metal. The difference in weight was enough to raise a novice's curiosity.

Rear Calipers Only Have Metal Piston.

OE Fiero Front has "Plastic" pistons for several reason and some Morons push all "Plastic" pistons are "bad."
Because Chrysler had a bad batch of calipers w/ binding pistons and "Experts" blame the "Plastic" Pistons...

Don't use Metal Pistons for Front Calipers design to have "plastic" ones. That can and Does cause problems because "Rebuild" companies often use "shortcuts" to use then and they Bind and often way easier then OEM pistons.

I was talking about rear Fiero brakes.
I am ignorant of other cars.

I have never seen OEM Fiero rear calipers with anything other than metal pistons. I just replace my originals on my 87 and they are metal. A friend just did his 85GT and they are metal.
