Wayne. There is a slight difference in the 84 dew wipes and if you find them they will be expensive.. They would probably fit like the 85-88 units but its not the easiest job. The inner door panel must first come off. Some guys use the compact Dickman offset screwdriver to get at the screws that are not easily accessible. You will be removing and replacing screws working behind the window. The other technique is to mark and remove the window stops and raise the window high enough the reach the hard to get to screws. I prefer method two but some prefer method one. I would place a magnetic pick up tool below where you are working to catch any screws that fall into the door. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. "THE COLUSSUS" 87GT - ALL OUT 3.4L Turbocharged engine, Garrett Hybrid Turbo, MSD ign., modified TH125H " ON THE LOOSE WITHOUT THE JUICE "

FYI - A good thread to replace the glass seals (a.k.a. dew wipes)
As Dennis LaGrua said; method two (like the video in the link below) takes a little more work, but really 'easier' than trying to get the screws out behind a pane of glass in the way....

god. There was a difference between the 84 and the rest but I can't remember it. I never had a problem replacing them in an 84, and I have worked on a lot of 84s. My V8 is an 84. And by the way, I used the short screw driver from Rodney.

I want to say there is a screw hole not in the right place. But I'm doing this from memory and have been out of the business for a long time.
