Anyone have instructions on how to build the AC hoses? I have the hoses from my Fiero 87 GT and the hoses from a Grand prix.
Will this work to crimp them together https://www.amazon.com/AMZC...cmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlo cphy=9012093&hvtargid=pla-1313017668222&psc=1
Do I just use a coupler to connect the fiero side to the pontiac compressor side? What coupler do I use? I have never worked with hydraulic hose before.

Go to an AC shop and have them make the hose for you.

As Neil said, just mock it up and take it to an AC shop and have it made. The tool you listed is $217.00, my local shop crimped mine together with new Barrier hose for less than $150.00.
No that's not what you need, you listed a service port, what you need is a switch port.
Your Title is misleading, what rusty line?[This message has been edited by jelly2m8 (edited 08-11-2023).]

Hey guys, while I oddly enough have an MVAC license (lol), I was unaware that you could just take lines to an A/C shop and they can fab it up for you. Is this pretty consistent across most shops? Or is there something specific I should be looking for? In the process of restoring my 87 Fiero, I was unable to detach the A/C condensor in the front, and I want to remove all of that and repair / replace it like I've done with literally everything else.
Thanks!

Well not every AC shop can build / crimp AC hoses, that's more of an old school specialty in these days of Disposable.
A great way to find what shops can actually make / repair AC hoses is to ask your local RV place who does it, it's more common in that industry to have custom AC lines made etc than in automotive.

Try hydraulic hose shop too. Likely Same tools but different hose so some may not have AC hose ------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)
