i have a blue 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT and recently the engines been acting up and wanting more power i managed to pick up an entire drivetrain out of a 2014 buick regal Premium 2 for about 200 bucks (2.0l turbo 4 cyl making around 260ish hp), it comes with everything youd need to swap it, i dunno how im going to do it exactly but any tips would be helpful. i do have a few questions regarding the suspension as well since it would be front suspension going to the rear what changes would i have to make to it? any help or tips would be appreciated ------------------ a 17y/o as of 2023 who has a 1987 pontiac fiero GT in bright blue from factory, engine is starting to give out always eager to learn more from others so please do not hesitate to correct me or anything of the sort

You Don't change the suspension, you leave the Fiero Suspension. Everyone uses pretty much stock suspension with much heavier drivetrains. You have to do the basics, Engine mounting., Engine wiring, Coolant system connections, Fuel system, vacuum system etc Your biggest concern will be PCM tuning, that's where you need to do your initial investigation as everything previous to this is simply mechanical engineering to a degree.
That engine sounds like it would be pretty slick in a Fiero.

I owned and drove both 87 and 88 Fiero GTs - the suspension of the latter is superior but if you have to go with the 87 it will still be fun.
I currently own a turbo Ecotec powered car (a Solstice GXP coupe with LNF that I have tweaked to 375 bhp) which is essentially the same as the LHU from the Bucik - an excellent choice for the Fiero swap.
