A/C System Flush (Page 1/1)

Does anyone know the best steps to flush the Air Conditioning System on the Pontiac Fiero?

I finally got all my air conditioning system's electrical issues solved, and am putting on a new compressor, new drier/accumulator, and a new orifice tube. I was wanting to flush the system because I because I am pretty sure that the old compressor died internally. It's clutch engages now, but it doesn't compress at all.

Rule of thumb is you should replace the condenser as well.

You'll need a compressor to flush the lines and evaporator before installing all the new parts.

Here's a link I found useful many years ago ac kits.

I did mine with all the tubes, fittings, etc. out of the car and a simple flush gun kit. Otherwise on an installed system you'd likely want to use a flush machine.

Just my 2 cents...
