Hi, I recently bought my first Fiero (1986 Fiero SE) and I love it, but I do have a question on factory options. That question being did the shifter cover, guage cover, climate control/radio cover, battery and oil cover come factory in red? Mine are red and I asked one of my friends who knows more than Fieros then I do and he said he believes its a factory option, I think it might be as well but I can not find another Fiero with this. They seem pretty factory but im also not an expert haha, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Heres some pictures

NOPE. A previous owner painted those.
Even the Indy with Red carpet and Red seat inserts had shiny panels. Only the Indy has the red interior color scheme from factory.

No. Red for the trim around the guages is not a "factory option" unless the factory is Rustoleum Paints. These panels were a silver-grey metallic colour fron 1984 to 1987. In 1988, I believe they went to a silver-grey dot-matrix pattern.

I've got a couple of sets of panels that are also closer to just a plain black color. No, they haven't been painted.

Forgot about the gold-ish panels. Haven't seen the black or the plaid.

The 1988 model years also have the "Dot Matrix" style of panels... which actually looks pretty cool.
