I have the Cardone star design type distributor in my Formula. The pickup coil wires got pinched and broken under the cap. Does the Cardone use the same pickup coil as factory?

Got a photo? I thought the Cardone distributors used a design that did away with the pickup coil.

The pickup coil in a Cardone-style distributor is kind of hidden in a metal "cup" but otherwise is the same coil as the original factory-style distributor.
