The car came with digital gauges and reads fine but when I went to put the original gauges in, the gauge pegs and has power. Any idea why?

Sounds like maybe the wiring has been changed and also did you put the original sender back in ? sleek

I didn't know there was a different sender for the digital gauge but yes a new sender does the same. So maybe they changed wiring to digital gauge?

Possibly. For it to peg I believe it would be a short to ground.
