Ok, got engine code 34 (low voltage MAP) last night and trying to determine if it's the MAP sensor or the wiring. wiring is original.
I ran a voltage test with key on to the harness C terminal and ground. I got 4.75 steady voltage. PFF post I found said it should be "around 5v steady voltage".
Ohms set at 20k gave me a reading of 18.4 on signal terminal and ground with key on.
Testing the sensor (unplugged) with 20k ohm, signal is giving me 8.39 resistance. Voltage terminal gives 9.91 or 11.31 ( looks like it's flexing around some) This makes me think it's the sensor.
Is 4.75v in acceptable range with key on? Just trying to make sure I need a sensor and the problem isn't upstream in the wires.
Thanks in advance. Tbone
