Swapped TPS and now the oil gauge works (Page 1/1)

My oil gauge bounces all around until the car is driven for an hour+ before it stabilizes.

However, I just replaced the throttle position sensor (for reasons not related to the oil gauge) and now the oil gauge is working well.

Coincidence?

Absolutely a coincidence.

TPS is hooked up to the ECM.

Oil pressure has nothing to do with the TPS circuitry or the ECM.

But, good for you!
