i may attempt to install the dual exhaust on my car tomorrow.its the one for the 2.5.unfortunatly it didn't come with instructions.im assuming the exhaust tips are supposed to be paralell to the ground..[that spider is distracting].so i should put a level across the opening?i don't know anyone with a fiero and the current muffler is dumping under the trunk.

IMO, you want the exhaust tips positioned within a quarter inch or so of the bumper cut-outs. I've seen them hanging lower and it looks weird.

They also angle up a bit too if they are like the V6. Make sure you have the metal heat deflectors.

It will depend upon what year your 2.5 is. Some years will not accept the dual exhaust because they don't have the right side cutout.

See if there's even a place for them to mount. It might just be the GT rear bumpers that have those metal shields. I don't think my Formula ever had them.

What type of exhaust tips do you have... the megaphone GT style, or the plain straight duke/Formula style?

I run the dual exhaust on my 84, without the right side cutout and it works fine. I've had no issues.

The bumper pad cars didn't have cutouts but didn't have the megaphone tips, either. The 85SE V6 bumper pad had plain dual exhaust tips like the Formula. Only the aero fascias had the heat shields. 88 Coupes and Formulas didn't have shields.
