Source for Corvette C5/C6 Brake Caliper Adapters for 1987 GT (Page 1/1)

Does anyone know a source for adapters to mount C5 / C6 Corvette brake calipers on a 1987 Fiero GT?

Dimensional drawings or a CNC file would be next best.

Via Automotive in Toronto is the only place I can find that lists them, but their website says they are Out of Stock. They have not (yet?) responded to my email.

I've been searching here and elsewhere and cannot find information on such adapters. If there are threads with descriptions about making the conversion, I'd appreciate a link.

As background, I recently bought a 1987 Fiero GT with 147,000 miles on it. It has been more-or-less sitting parked for the last 20 years. So far, I've focused on getting it up and running as-is and it seems to be a strong car. I drove it up from San Diego to the San Francisco Bay Area without a hitch last week.

The prior owner had begun track-prepping the car, which is what I want. The car has Koni shocks, lowering springs, and, most significantly, lightweight 17" Konig wheels. I've replaced the 18-year-old tires with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Extreme Performance summer tires. Tire dimensions are F: 235/45R17 and R: 275/40R17. The engine is a stock V6 with the 5-speed manual transaxle.

That's a whole load of tyre for no power!
I run only 235s on the rear and 225s on the front. (And I'm at 400+HP!)
Anyway, back to your question: have you done the search thing?
(I did, but there are some dead links to the images.)
I'll check in my hard drives if I have a drawing somewhere? But don't hold out hope as I never did go with the Corvette brakes as I need to keep the original style wheels in France to conform to inspection.

Yup. This will definitely be a "momentum" car. It will be interesting to see how it does in the corners with all that rubber. The prior owner put a lot of thought into the wheel selection, so I am hoping the car performs well. My concern is front/rear traction balance (understeer vs oversteer).

I searched extensively before posting on this site. I may not yet know how to best search for Fiero issues.

I too have hit a lot of dead links. It seems I am 20 years behind the times in starting to modify a 1987 Fiero. A lot of water has passed under the bridge.

Per above, I really need help with this so anything you can find would be very much appreciated.

Does it have power steering? I it doesnt, you better hit the Gym to get Hulk like shoulders to steer that car or get a tractor steering wheel to make it easier to handle. But then again it'll give you a lazier steering input.

I've put over 500 miles on the car now and don't really mind the unassisted steering. Yeah, a pain when parallel parking!

The prior owner described his efforts to improve the scrub radius with the wider fronts. Maybe that helped?
