Saw these on ebay
https://www.ebay.com/itm/305228225558
I like this low rise look and it did not seem very expensive until I found out that the 4 Hella headlamps are going to add another $200.
So does anyone know any other cheaper brands for these headlamps?
Or maybe another cheaper source for low-rise bucket system?

⚠️ Warning: Even when you completely ignore most HL "upgrades" are illegal for different reasons in different places... Most won't last or perform very poorly. Like Most projectors are not made be used in the above setup & won't last long. Their made to be part of a whole HL system often w/ other front lights all protected by the "aero" cover + vehicle itself & tested as an assembly.
Example: For many years many Fiero had "munson" upgrades kits that while uses 4 DOT HL bulb performed crap on top Illegal because of cover & more. Use search.
Add that most making "Low Profile" popups ignore spots in OE setup that act as Bearing to open/close the door & causes other problems.
⚠️ BEFORE any HL fixes/changes... check wiring to the bulbs & current bulbs you have. Some 80's vehicles including Fiero have "Non Halogen" HL from the factory & still have same. Others "Cheap out" & bought cheapest plane tungsten HL bulbs. Only Fiero & many more w/ higher Trim Level had factory installed Halogen HL bulbs.
Example: 6052 tungsten HL is same "shell" as H6054 Halogen HL but light output is less even for base model Halogen Bulb. Factory 6052 & many other light things have Guide marking on it. Guide was GM Lighting Division. All Tungsten HL bulbs w/ Low Beam have a metal "disk" & no small bulb in them.
So can switch to Halogens & be better but DOT legal SilverStar et al pulls more power than factory/basic units & most cars have wiring problems.
Can find various HL upgrades that fit Fiero "buckets" that meet DOT/ECE rules & perform good or better then OE HL but Eflay Amacon & worse have mostly crap sets. Trucklite, GE, & other sell Legal LED but cost way more then most LED on Eflay etc. w/ Bogus DOT/ECE labels.
See https://web.archive.org/web...ierocave/lightme.htm & some of rest of section & wiring section after that.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)

I have actually searched a lot here about flushmount headlights. That was my original plan. But none of them look/perform properly unless you can do the bodywork required to transplant lights from other cars.
I need safe functional headlights because I will be driving this car a lot.

Ignoring all the "hand wringing"... These are made and sold by forum member Sluppy123. I believe they were in "The Mall" on this forum at some point. They used to be sold by Danyel, before he sold the line to Sluppy. Sluppy123 also sells other pieces for Fieros. I can't speak for the headlight buckets, but all of his other stuff is very highly regarded in the community.
I've got a set of buckets, purchased from Danyel, still in the box. I plan to install them as soon as I do some other stuff to the car.
I've also got a set, made by another vendor who is no longer in business, on another Fiero. Uses 60mm Hella assemblies. They work quite nicely. Way better than stock.
Hope that helps.
Edit - I see that you found the thread in the Mall.[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 11-04-2023).]

No one makes them other than Hella. If you want a cheaper route with the same lower profile look, in that same thread in the mall, Sluppy offers the 4x6 headlight kits. This is what they look like.

You're not going to find this thru anyone selling "low profile" HL no matter the hype pushed here or as you found none of "flush mount" HL people too.
Nearly all HID & LED sold @ amacon et al are crap, worse Counterfeit w/ "DOT Mark" missing all other marks the US Fed Laws/Rules require to be there to sell for car parts. HID "Bulbs" in HB2/H4 shells never work right because can't focus right + made very cheap & often fails very soon.
Legal LED are available but most cost $200-300 from Trucklite etc. SilverStar & other Legal Halogen maybe "brighter" "better" etc But have problems besides draws more power. Been several lawsuits for bogus ads & more. + many find out they won't last long often dies in 1-2 years or even less.
"Basic" Halogen & proper aiming will light the road w/o blinding others & often last many years.

Again Most LED are illegal & worse often blind other drivers.
Even if your state doesn't inspect the car... cops can & will stop you w/ crap HL for any reason not just illegal lights sold thru whatever. If not Local cops, cops in other parts of your state or more often cops in states you drive into/thru. Example: anyone w/ iffy HL & drive I95 thru other states are gambling when cops stop you. Because I95 is a Huge Drug Road to get from south to NYC & up & crap Lights are Primary Offense to Stop. If the Cop writes a Ticket Only for crap lights, that is often a lot of $ & Points in some states. Any Points can jack up Insurance Bill for several years.

Ogre keeps on harping about HID and LED, ad nauseum. Basically, it seems like anything that isn't "stock" is "sketchy" at best, and "illegal" at worst.
The Hella fixtures use halogen lamps, and have a very sharp cutoff, in order to prevent blinding oncoming drivers. The kit for sale in the mall, as well as the other (out of production) kit that I have in my car, also include(d) wiring harnesses with relays, so as not to tax the original wiring. I would not hesitate, if it's what I wanted.[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 11-05-2023).]
