Upper front ball joints for 88 GT? Where to find them? (Page 1/1)
phils88GT NOV 05, 10:26 PM
I was checking out the suspension on my new-to-me 88 GT tonight, and all of the ball joints need to be replaced. I can find the lower fronts readily, but not so much front the front uppers. I have searched the threads and the name Rodney Dickman comes up, but, on his site, the ones listed are for 84-87, not 88. Will these work? If not, where can I get them?

Thanks,
Phil

Phil,

Rodney’s site shows me 88 front upper and lower ball joints for me.

That’s one of Rodney’s specialties. And for many, many years.

I could never see Rodney run out of ball joints and tie-rods for all Fieros regardless.

I have them on both of my 88s and haven’t had problems for over 13 and 15 years now. I will admit, my 88s have only been driven 28,000 miles combined, and strictly summer cars.

Ditto - I bought Rodney's upper and lower ball joints too as well as the outer tie rod ends in September........

However, my 'classic hobby' is always 'last in line' of my time, so the Fiero is still waiting to replace the parts.

BTW: Rodney have not found someone to buy and take over the business.

Rodney's Site Still Says:
In the spring of 2024, we will put our home here in WI up for sale. If no one buys my business by then I will put most everything in a storage unit for the time being.

So - next year is coming fast and be aware that Rodney's goodies possibly be in a storage unit.........

I bought Upper, Lower and Outer from Rodney recently as well Vintage. So many things to do to my car that priorities can change on a daily basis.
