Notchie trunk seal with built in cover (Page 1/1)

Anyone ever see one of these before? I found it in an 84 notchie at the pick and pull. It’s stitched right to the trunk seal and has a zipper. Hides anything in the trunk. Wonder if this is a dealer option from back in the day?

This is super cool! Do you think you can take a couple more pictures of it? Like a closeup of how the fabric is attached to the seal?

I don't know the practicality of it... but it's definitely cool. I've never seen anything like this before, or heard it mentioned before. I wonder if it's something that someone put together themselves ... or if it was a dealer / J.C. Whitney kind of thing?

We don't really see Fieros in junkyards anymore. Just 10 years ago, there would be at least 3 in the yard every weekend that I'd go, but they seem to have all disappeared. Some of the 84 Fieros were extremely well optioned, with rare features like the Fleece Seats, and dealer add-ons like the matching bag luggage, etc. Was there anything else unique about that car? Or was it just an entry-level / plain 84?

I’ll get some more pics loaded tonight. It’s professionally stitched to the trunk seal.

Wow, yeah... that is no joke really well done. I'm guessing it's custom then... I've never seen anything like that in any of the catalogs. I should bust out my big fat "Fiero Parts Book" from back in the late 90s and see if anyone in there was selling it.
