No Power to Headlight Motors (Page 1/1)
BruhMans06 DEC 30, 10:26 PM
I took the right headlight out a few months back to see if I could rebuild it because the motor would not run. I thouht it would be the gear but when i took it apart the internals were somewhat okay.

I was confused so I opted to put the headlight back in and just have iot stuckl in the up position perminently. When I put it back in I realized there was a 3 point connector coming off the motor, as well as a matching 3 point connector comming from the wiring harness under the hood, but they were both male. So It got me thinking that someone either put brand new motors of a different gen in the car, or these 3 point connectors are supposed to plug into something that im not finding or is entirely missing.\

Am I missing Something?

Help pls
thanks much.,

Those two connectors are correct, they plug into the headlight relay, little tiny black box fastened off to the side of the headlight frame with two screws, there is also a single other wire coming from the headlight that does plug directly into a single wire coming from the car, those ones are easy to trap under the headlight as you install it.

The little box should be on the inboard side of the headlights (passenger side of drivers headlight, and drivers side of passenger headlight)

Also you don't need it plugged in at all to just keep it in the up position, in fact if whether it works or not is a little iffy, and you intend to just keep them up all the time, then you can turn the knob on top of the mechanism until the headlight is all the way up, it should have an arrow indicating which way is up, it is a lot of turning, but allows you to move your headlights without electricity, just make sure to plug in the actual headlight bulb.

that would explain a lot since the relays you speak of are missing entirely. I searched up diagrams and photos and the relays are just gone so ill just have to go and order some new ones and hope that works
