IAC reset on 3.4DOHC (Page 1/1)

Hey there everyone! I've got about 200 miles on my swap so far and the car seems to have a few issues surrounding what I believe is the IAC. Choppy Idle, almost dies when coming to a stop, rough hot starts. Nothing that's a smoking gun but I can always swing back to Orielly's and return it if it doesn't work so its worth a shot. But I heard that some IAC's need to "relearn", is this true? If so does anyone know the relearn procedure? The car is using a 91-93 stock auto ECU reprogrammed by Darth for the manual. Any help would be greatly appropriated, Thanks!

Normally, all you have to do is get the engine up to temp, and drive faster than 30-35 MPH or so.

Do you have a clutch switch wired in to your PCM? Is your VSS good?
I've heard that the clutch switch is a thing with the LQ1, to keep it from stalling when you come to a stop. Never verified, though. At least not yet.

There is no relearning.

IAC "reset" when drive > 30-35MPH. Some also can "reset" when parked & push gas pedal > 2000-2500RPM for a few seconds like 87+ Dukes
"Resetting" IAC just means ECM close it completely so can count IAC Steps.

Use a ECM/PCM scanner to see IAC Reset Yes/No
Wile there get speed matches for ECM to Speedo in the dash.

Someone program an auto trans to stick trans may have skipped "anti stall" section of programing or have something else wrong like iffy IAC or Throttle Body.

Yup to both, although I didn't drive the car without the clutch switch so I can't confirm if it made a difference. May be something to test out if another solution doesn't present itself

Darth did the chip so I'd like to believe that the problem isn't programming related, and the weirdest part is its very intermittent. I'll be going over all my grounds with a fine tooth comb to make sure it's nothing like that before diving into the ECU
