Hi All
I know that the sunroofs are all identical from year to year and model to model.....but are the roof panels the same as well?

If I have a hardtop 86GT and want to do the conversion, would nay donor car with a sunroof work? Thank you

Some Fiero sunroofs have the black dot matrix edges, some have a slight reflective look with no dot matrix edging.

Other than that, they are all the same size and curve, with all holes 8n the same locations.

Gotcha...but as far as the cars roof panel, were all the roof panels the same from year to year? (The fiberglass panel with the A-pillar....the panel that accepts the actual glass)?

The first year or two didn't have the four drain holes, which Pontiac later released a service bulletin stating they needed to be drilled. It's not a difficult procedure at all.

Not all sunroofs are the same, there were many hardtop Fieros with original dealership installed sunroofs, which are smaller, and rounder, but other then those cars, the sunroofs panels are pretty much the same other then the 4 drain holes.

In short... yeah. You can take a sunroof from any Fiero and put it on any non-sunroof Fiero.

Yes, other than the drain holes.
