Does anyone have a power mirror switch for an 88GT? (Page 1/1)

I see them on ebay, but the prices are just ridiculous! I know they are rare, but they are just a freaking switch!

Ok, venting aside.. I also see the 85ish to 92 Firebird has the same or at least similar looking switch. Is this the same switch? How about the headlight switch for the Fiero, are those the same for other year GM vehicles?

Thanks all

The Fiero store also has it, for like 60 dollars. I think it was a unique and expensive switch to start, my switch had "Cherry"on the back, with their logo. Yes, the Cherry known for expensive mechanical keyboard switches, interesting that GM wouldn't make everything in house.

There's this one from the Fiero Store: https://www.fierostore.com/...px?s=64190&d=345&p=1

It's $59 dollars... which is the same for all Fieros with power mirrors. I think MAYBE the 84 had a black switch, I can't remember... but it should be the same for all other years.

If you have a non-working power mirror switch, maybe you can repair it rather than buying a new swtich.....

I did that repair / refurb on my switch, and it did work. The only problem is, I was pulling the window switches out and I managed to do something to pull the mirror switch out. when this happened, the plastic joystick part somehow pushed out. I found the spring, but I cannot find the tiny clip that holds it in against the spring pressure. I was thinking about trying to find a window switch panel from a Fiero without power mirrors and adding a more modern mirror switch to replace the Fiero one. I have a 3D printer and have found lots of models out there, one even is pre-made to support a Hummer mirror switch, but it really doesn't specify which Hummer. That's alot of printing and filament for an unknown like that.

I would assume it's an H3 switch since that one simply snaps into the dash. The H2 unit is recessed in the door behind a trim plate.

I have the H3 mirror switch in my '88 GT ( AC Delco 19076-02547311). I relocated it to a blank for the trunk switch position, along with a different trunk switch and a rocker for my driving lights. I wanted to move it off of the console. This was very easy, since the mirror wiring goes pretty much right past here on its way to the original console position. I did have to duplicate the oddly-shaped hole it's designed to fit into.

This switch is also used in the Saturn L-series sedans and wagons - a good place to go in a 'yard to get one, and especially the connector and cable. I think i still have the wiring info around here somewhere...
