CASCO Lighters (Page 1/1)

Update to the cave lighter page & many post here...

Note: CASCO is now an Amphenol company (Amphenol makes Many Electric/Electronic parts...) and seems does not make "old style" lighters or sockets used by GM Ford & others for decades or available to aftermarket as parts.

Can still find NOS & good used units in many places not just Eflay etc.

⚠️ Warning: Other "no name"/"off brand" sockets may not fit Casco heaters or in holes or space where the socket go into.
Often won't work in Casco outer shell that have the Ground "pin" needed for Fiero & some others.

If check a few of these but not all. All seen Made poorly & don't have the "crow bar" piece to prevent console fires.

The Ogre's Fiero Cave

Did some web searches...

No real clue on new real CASCO lighter or sockets. Many "junk yards" don't have vehicles old enough to have them.

some amazon say "casco style" & pictures look mostly same but what you get have to guess. I'm not buying @ 30-50 $ include shipping.

Eflay & others have new & used CASCO sold as "vintage" or New Old Stock (NOS) parts.

I get some "off brand" copies very cheap or free thru flea markets etc but those are "off" in many ways to not mix w/ CASCO parts if you use them except maybe switch the knobs.

Note that even New Casco replacements & most from other cars don't have the "crow bar" for Fiero.
