I should know this by now. But….
87 V6. At idle, if I apply full vacuum to the EGR should the engine stall? Mine stumbles, but doesn’t stall. Valve is holding vacuum. Took it off, valve is moving when I apply vacuum. Exhaust is clear, egr tube is clear (both ends).
I’m failing smog for high NOx, 5k miles ago it passed with lower than average numbers (which was VERY good).

My Formula idled very roughly when its EGR valve was wide open (when it shouldn't have been).

Interesting. I know that some cars will stall completely if at idle when EGR is opened. Mine just ran a little rough so I was thinking the system may be plugged. From what I could see, the passages were all clean.
