EGR issue (Page 1/1) donuteater306 FEB 16, 04:11 PM I should know this by now. But…. 87 V6. At idle, if I apply full vacuum to the EGR should the engine stall? Mine stumbles, but doesn’t stall. Valve is holding vacuum. Took it off, valve is moving when I apply vacuum. Exhaust is clear, egr tube is clear (both ends). I know that some cars will stall completely if at idle when EGR is opened. Mine just ran a little rough so I was thinking the system may be plugged. From what I could see, the passages were all clean.
