While trying to install Rodney dickmans transmission select bushings on my 86 4-speed . I need to take off the bracket the thing stopping me is this pin it won’t budge. How have you guys gotten the bracket off?

You should be able to strike the pin with a hammer to push it out, if not directly, then via a drift punch.

I have been using a punch and hammer with on blaster. Then using Map gas heating it up but it just doesn’t budge at all. I don’t know what to do next

Can you try a C-clamp to push out the pin? (with a small socket to cover the pin's head)

Tried that multiple times and can’t get enough mechanical force before it swiveled off. I’m thinking of getting an air hammer to try.

Don't use to much heat or force, the trans is aluminum, and it will be very easy to really badly damage something, let it disk in penetrating oil for a few days, reapplying twice a day. If a simple light hammer can't get it out, it isn't coming out without breaking something expensive, let penetrating oil do it's thing.

I was very eager to get it off but I’ll let it bask so I don’t break anything. Thanks
