Hi guys, my 4 speed 86gt have bronze non metallic metal glitter in the oil (quite a bit) The transmission seems to be working fine and is behind a SBC V8.
any idea if this is something I can repair or should I look for a salvage transmission? What part of the internals are made out of bronze?
Thanks!

That would be your syncro rings starting to wear abnormally. they should be available still. sleek

I got mine in a bearing and seal kit about 15 years ago from Edmonton Gear in Alberta Canada. The Kit was about 250.00 Canadian wholesale. Sleek

You can cannibalize another Muncie to get blocking rings.
They're all the same for all four gears.
Usually, the blocking rings are most abused in the lower gears, so you should be able to get some good ones from a donor transmission.
