4 speed transmission - Metal in oil (Page 1/1) Jon350 MAR 07, 08:33 PM Hi guys, my 4 speed 86gt have bronze non metallic metal glitter in the oil (quite a bit) The transmission seems to be working fine and is behind a SBC V8. any idea if this is something I can repair or should I look for a salvage transmission? What part of the internals are made out of bronze? Usually, the blocking rings are most abused in the lower gears, so you should be able to get some good ones from a donor transmission.
