Searching for a muffler for my 88 GT, Flowmaster, Summit Racing or Jegs welded? (Page 1/1) |

I am looking for a little more volume from my 88 GT 2.8. I can't afford the ridiculous prices for the Spintech from WCF. Are there cheaper alternatives out there that will work in place of the factory muffler? I really like the Flowmaster sound, and I know the Jegs / Summit Racing welded versions are similar to the Flowmaster. I am not expecting a performance gain from the little 2.8.
Any suggestions? I am also going to ditch the cat as well..
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I saw that system, I also went on youtube and heard a few examples, but just wasn't really impressed with how it sounded really.. I am just picky... :-)

I have owned several of the non-stainless Ocelot systems. I find that they have a tone that is similar to stock, only a bit louder. Removal of the cat makes it just another step louder. The best sounding (IMHO) V6 Fiero I've ever heard was a cammed 3.4 with headers and an Ocelot system.
