I am about to install the new clutch- but not sure what grease to use between TOB and fork-fingers it mounts to plus the center shaft. Manual states GM PN 1051355....But I have some Permatex Lithium grease...would that work?...

only thing in web search is GM AC part w/ that number. Can't see FSM etc right now to see too.
You what very high temp grease that won't run/separate. Pematex Green Label Brake Grease should work & doesn't need muct even then.
Standard/Generic White Grease often does both even @ "room temp" in short time too. If you have it in can/tube for long likely have started doing that now. "Permatex Lithium grease" could be same. what number is it.
Other oil/grease can also get into the pressure plate then contaminate the clutch friction parts causing glazing etc.

Looking around on the web I found that the spec is NLGI #2.....and then found that Lucas makes a tube of it; White Lithium Grease with that spec number on the label....Was able to pick it up at Home Depot.
I'd rather have a tube than a tub....(Cheaper and easier to store/keep sealed...

Ya just white grease... You Can use it but don't get sloppy or can bite you.
