Thanks in advance for your assistance. I am trying to install the single strut (replacing the factory ones) and need instructions and/or photos. His site says it installs in 10 minutes?? Kevin

thanks for the info, but I did not see one for an 88., which is different. If someone has an 88 version, please let me know. Kevin

What did you need help with? I believe there is a bracket that bolts to the factory deckild vent area and a longer bolt for the decklid itself.

So there's nothing in any of those threads that indicates how a decklid strut should be/could be installed on an '88? If what you have is so different, maybe you should also mention if you have a notchie or a fastback.

Google is your friend... (and yes, it's an '88).

Why does anyone need a 3 part video to install a strut? Also, why would anyone install an intrusive Strut when the factory system is quite compact and Far more reliable?

My thots exactly, jelly. When i installed my wing (my 84 did not come with a wing), i adjusted the factory spring to the max setting, and have not had any problems since, and thats been at least 10 years. i have had friends install these struts but never try to adjust the spring. Curious to say the least.
