Hey guys!

Looking to see if anyone has any updated contact info for Darrell Morse who made those nice rear strut braces.?

He discontinued those years ago. Once in a while people sell them in the mall but they are pretty rare to find.

Ah shoot...

Thanks for the reply!

If you need a strut brace to keep the strut towers from flexing, you have more serious problems to look into.

The rear strut tower brace is a bling item, it does nothing to improve the handling.

^^^ this ^^^

It is only for show, I had one on my 86 - didn't do anything.

Big reason is because the trunk wall etc in Fiero is a way bigger brace to hold the strut towers in place.

So...

Because likely have major rust or other damage letting the towers to move.

My strut towers are not moving, im not having any issues there. But i do have about 405 whp right now with the current tune. Even if its a bling item, i thought having more upper support would be good for the track. I so also like the look of it. So I would like to buy one if someone has one laying around they dont want.

What's Darrell been up to? He did the throttle-body boring on my 87 Fiero back in the day. Would love to know what he's been up to. He was really into Fiero stuff, but assume he's kind of moved on to other things.

Thats some serious horsepower! Bet that's fun to drive! I don't think a strut brace would even do anything for you honestly because your cradle would need to flex, and I do not think that is going to happen if everything is in good shape. Even if you have the motor attached up top like stock it still doesn't have any bearing on the towers. There are others making more power without any issues as well. I am not saying to not do it, but I am just adding to the conversation is all. Just food for thought.
