so my egr on the 2.8 has been causing me nothing but headaches for the bast week and I've had it with that system.
I'm looking for a delete chip and block off plates to fully remove it and I haven't had much luck finding them so far, west coast fiero has them for a 3800 but it seems that the ones for the 2.8 stopped being made awhile ago

I can delete the EGR and set the warm idle wherever you want it.

When the ECM calls for the EGR to be activated, it also advances the timing and adjust the mixture. When the ECM calls for the EGR to be activated, it sends a signal to the EGR control valve. There is also a vacuum switch to detect if the EGR control valve did what is was supposed to.

Deleting the EGR programming from the chip will also keep you from having the code 32 problem.

I can do the above changes, however I am not a tuner.

The hyperlink from the original quote was dead. So I added the link from his current front page. Hopefully he's still doing his thing. He was pretty good.

Stupid cellphone. This was meant as a quote not a bump for Carters question....
