Clutch master cylinder (Page 1/2)
ThatDumby JUN 04, 08:33 PM
How do i remove the master cylinder for the clutch. It’s a 1984 Fiero 4 speed 4 cyl. I have taken off two nuts and the line set but i have no idea what else its holding on too.

The car hasn’t ran in 23 years if it helps. Sorry if it’s a stupid question 😭.

Did you disconnect it from the clutch pedal?

I'll have to assume you bought This car. It would be nice if you could return to that thread and at least acknowledge the responses.

Yes, the pedal on the left. The banjo should look like this (not "bent like crazy"), installed with the loop facing up on the pedal.

Hey, Pat, he's a newby located in Oregon. Shucks, that's just a short ride from Vancouver. You should go help him out.https://www.fiero.nl/forum/icons/icon10.gif. I'd go but it's a bit further for me being on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, and all. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/icons/icon12.gif

ThatDumby (you really should think about another username), Look in the Archives. Lot's of data there on abouth every Fiero system and year. Also, you can probably find a factory service manual, on line, to download. You should do this ASAP. You can probably find Clymers or other manuals to augment the FSM but the FSM for your model year is best.

Good luck, happy wrenching.

Mike, "short ride" is a relative term. Even if I wanted to go for a trek down to Oregon, I couldn't. Don't currently have paperwork to cross into the US. Can't say I miss dealing with border agents in either country.
