Affordable Injectors! (Page 1/1)

I recently sent in the injectors from my stock 2.8 to be cleaned/flow tested. I shipped them to a guy in New York who does it at a good price because it would be cheaper than buying new/remanufactured injectors....or so I thought.

As it turns out, my injectors were totally clogged. The guy I sent them to was only able to salvage 4 of the 6. I told him to go ahead and flow test those 4 and that I would purchase the other 2. He told me not to "purchase the other 2 injectors, yet. I have an idea.". About 5 minutes later, I got a phone call.

"Hey JumpMonkey. I hope you're ready. You might piss yourself when you open the link I just sent you."

A set of (6) 01D063B injectors for $45. Sure enough, the link was an eBay store with said injectors for said price. I've purchased some already and installed them to my fuel rail. I'm going to try and get the car running within the next two days and see if they hold up. I will update this thread with the results.

Here is a photo of the listing. I think the link may be too long to include here as it is not letting me. Wish me luck!

I can't find anything online about this injector being plug and play. I think Fiero injectors are 15lb/hr stock and those Jag ones are somewhere in the 19-20lb/hr range. Are you planning on tuning it or doing an AFPR or something? Otherwise it's gonna run crazy rich...

As pointed out all fuel injectors are not the same. You have high impedance ones as GM has used and low impedance units used on some foreign automobiles. The flow rate can also be different. This can be adjusted in the ECM program but it can take a bit of work. I would try buying used 15 lb tested and cleaned fuel injectors that were made for the stock Fiero engine.
BTW, there is no such thing as a reman injector. The only thing that can be done is to clean, pressure test for flow. clean or replace the tiny cone filter. Thats all that can be expected.

You're both right. I just got excited with such a cheap price

I purchased these because it was $45 for 6 instead of $30 for 1 on RockAuto. I really just wanted to see if my Fiero ran. It hasn't in 15 years.

It ran but very rich. I'll probably get some new injectors, soon.
