starter circuit/ power issues (Page 1/2)

managed to get power throughout my 87 fiero revival and currently I have no starter or windows or dash lights. my c500 did have a broken green and a broken fusible pink link going out of it but I'm bit sure what they do?

My suggestion; start using the PFF 'Search' function more often......

C500 Connector
{Pin location and usage may vary depending on year/engine/transmission}

first thing I tried actually. it's broken on mobile and my pc is currently broken so I can't use that to search it.
well less broken and more of the redirect function isn't working properly for the mobile version of Chrome

ok so I got power to my rally gauges but not to my dashboard anymore. I do have power to my headlight bulbs but not the motors and absolutely none to my fuel pump relay or fuse or my power windows mirrors or locks. there's almost 0 chewed up wires that i haven't fixed already (other than a few ecu wires) but I'm not sure if those matter yet considering I don't think I'm even getting a starter signal. which might just be no power to my column

Do you have the factory book? or access to the electric schematic section of it? Or at least what's supposed to be on what fuse so you can isolate fused circuits.
You need to know where to start looking. The book is wicked important for solving difficult problems.

I have what's on this
https://fieroinfo.com/manuals/
my actual factory manual for this car was eaten by rats so it's long gone. I think my starter might actually be getting power but I didn't have a working meter til this morning when my expensive one was finally returned

Yes, you have it. "Electrical and trouble shooting". You might what to print it so you can Just sit and look at it for a while. Get used to it's format.
Start isolating circuits so you at least know what's working and what's not. With everything "on" you really can't tell.

A test light, another old time basic tool, is essential. Mostly your looking for power or no power. Save the VO for the fancy stuff.

I'll start on it again once it's not 95 out with high humidity. it's miserable to try cleaning and repairing the loom

The trick in problem solving is to first find the problem. One at a time. You don't start "cleaning and repairing the loom" until you have determined that there is a problem in the "loom". I imagine that by "loom" you mean the wiring harness or part of it.

Earlier I called you a "rescuer" meaning that your the guy who elevates abandoned cars to "drivable" condition. (For resale???)
You need to get good at problem solving to do that without driving yourself nuts, and emptying your bank account. It is a skill.

so far this gt has only cost 1050 dollars which is what it cost to buy it. and I've been repairing the loom since rats. so far the only real damage is that the insulation was chewed through on the top of bulkhead connectors and the random disintegrated wiring.
usually I'm going from barn or field find to drivable and daily driver in about a week. that includes rebuilding my 99 f250s engine completely in 2 days and reinstalling it before driving 18 hours straight. the fieros just decide to defy the laws of physics occasionally and break in new and exciting ways.
like rusting through a new exhaust in 2 weeks or deciding to have an exhaust leak from nowhere that stopped after I hit a pothole too fast. or the 88s y pipe leaking from every square inch of it with no explanation of how
