A/C condensation, where's the drain (Page 1/1)
donuteater306 JUL 05, 12:22 PM
After all these years, I've never checked the evap. box drain lol. Parked facing uphill after driving a couple hours with the A/C on, water poured onto my passenger floor. Can anyone please point me in the direction?

First go & check the smell & feel of that water....
Is often a bad heater core leaking coolant & smell & feel like coolant even if doesn't show a color of whatever coolant brand in there.
If not sure, system cold dip a rag or suck w/ some tool, not mouth, a bit of coolant from overflow tank to feel/smell the "water" matches or not.

I think AC drain is in the Frunk.
If "plugged," see http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/141959.html Heat/AC box cleaning, again...
as "plugged" drain is often side effect of crap, leaves, etc in the box that can cause a fire.

Thanks Ogre, I actually did check to make sure that it’s not coolant.

I promise I used to the search function, but I didn’t search the correct terminology.

Even when you know the terms, PFF search often fails.
Try using a web search... term(s) Site:fiero.nl

Using your own terminology, PFF Search turns up several relevant threads to choose from... A/C condensation

I'm not trying to give you a bad time, but I don't understand why so many people have a problem with the Search function here.

Lol, I don’t mind if you give me a bad time, It’s all in good fun… Usually. What I searched there were 10+ pages of Info. When I got to page 7, I stopped. Actually, I think I searched AC drain. Condensation would’ve been much more sense

So, did you found the information you needed?
donuteater306 JUL 05, 07:26 PM
I did, thank you. Clicked the links you shared. Today I was installing my Mr. Mike's seat covers...well, I did one yesterday and the other today. They are amazing, exactly what everyone has stated. When finished, I jacked-up the passenger side and searched for the drain. No go. I'll have to really crawl under there. A few weeks ago I had it on my friends lift, would have been the perfect time to check.

Recently helped a friend unclog her Toyota Matrix after she said that she could hear water sloshing. Could have solved a nation's drought problems with the water that poured out. After all of these years, I've never experienced that with any of our cars/trucks.
