Would anybody happen to have a schematic of the '85 cigarette lighter socket? I removed mine on my Fiero to clean a lot of the gunk out of it, but I accidentally dropped it while taking it apart and the parts scattered everywhere. Now I'm having trouble figuring out what washer goes where, etc.. Thanks.

Factory service manuals can be downloaded from several places on the internet for free in PDF format. These contain all schematics and troubleshooting guides.
Simple google search and you will find:

FSM & 99% other "books" won't help you except to replace a lighter.
Cigarette Lighter Schematic most thinking wiring to the lighter but isn't what you need...

Check out "theogre"'s reply. That is exact the lighter I have, but it doesn't really tell you the order everything goes together.[This message has been edited by k5ahudson (edited 07-22-2024).]

That's the lighter I have. It doesn't really show the order the parts go in though. Thanks.

Wrong. Simply put all parts in same order last pic then push the stud section in the shell stack the rest in order. The stud part only fits the right way in the shell , then inner shell, threads, big washer, plastic washer, etc.
Last thing is the "plug end" that goes on this or any replacement in tiny pic just above the last.
They go only in that order or will not work because very likely it shorts out & blow the bat fuse as soon as you plug in the wires.
If the ceramic broke, do not fix it. Most "glues" can't take the heat then fails then likely shorts out later w/o warning.
Many Fiero lighter have never have the light to work for several reasons. Even if does work, many hate it because light bounce off the windshield @ night. Worse if have replace the socket & have "halo" light.
