AusFiero Stage II Fender Molding (Page 1/1)
Matthew_Fiero AUG 16, 06:19 PM
Hi Everyone,

In the process of installing AusFiero Stage II scoops. Currently, I'm fitting the tapered door moldings onto the doors and the problem is there is a noticeable gap between the lower rocker and the fender now.

I'm curious as to others have dealt with this. Does anyone happen to have any suggestions or pictures of how others were installed?

I've seen this thread and it makes me even more curious as to how it was done. I was thinking if I could get a rough shape 3d printed then I could bond it into the gap. Another idea is to take the stock molding and cut/modify to complete the taper effect.

Basically there is a triangle piece that bonds to the front fender. It covers the gap.

the aero trim lowers fits there. I just took apart a few fieros to save some rare ones and the aus side panels require that aero trim

WRONG

There was supposed to be a 3rd fender piece as IMSA GT showed above you.

To the OP, as IMSA Gt said, it was triangle shaped, follow the contour of the door piece before the indent to allow door opening and make your own, it should be fairly simple to make. If you have Non-GT fenders, use those as that piece did not entirely cover the holes for the Aero molding

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Yes there is supposed to be a piece that goes on the fender and for some reason some sets did not include this piece. I'll have to come up with a solution as finding these pieces will be nearly impossible.

I was thinking last night to cut the existing fender molding as far down as possible then slipping the cut out piece behind and trimming it down until the top of the cut piece lines up to the tapered door molding. Then I just have to fill in to compensate for the step. Hopefully I described that okay lol.

Got it. Followed the line of taper cut The molding and then folded the lip in on the rear side melted it together using a cut portion of the molding as a filler rod. Thanks for looking!
