Decklid luggage rack (rubber inserts) (Page 1/1)

Whats going on guys?!

Currently in the process of restoring a 85 SE for a customer, and she wants me to keep and refinish the luggage rack on the decklid. As most who have done it know, removing those rubber inserts undamaged is near impossible. Without the aftermarket support to replace them, what other options have you all used or suggested to use to replace them?

AuVeCo (Automotive Vehicle Company) makes the Well-Nuts. I am able to find them at the larger Ace Hardware Stores. Get stainless or brass screws to go with them.

no problem. I happen to like the look if the luggage rack of a bare decklid so I tend to hoard parts and refinish them when I can afford to
