Rear Caliper Options (Page 1/1)

I’m currently having trouble with my right rear caliper locking up, I’m tired of messing with it because this has happened before. Are there any upgrades for the rear calipers. I’m just looking for options that would work with the stock wheels, and I don’t care if it has a parking brake or not. Any help would be appreciated.

grand am, corvette I mean the list really goes on. just Google fiero brake upgrade.
but maybe change your rubber brake line and try greasing the slide pins first.
trust me it is easier to find the initial cause now rather than later. and if it Is the caliper then an upgrade is fine. if not then fix the other issue first

gonna delete that, cause well I'm all for upgrades, but realistically a right rear lock up before the left, have you replaced your Rubber flex hoses? with age they do collapse internally. On a Fiero the rear braking circuit leaves the master cylinder and proportioning valve to the rear where back near the right rear wheel it the separates to the left rear.

if my theory is correct, no upgrade will fix your problem. never ever ever ever ever ever do an upgrade on a malfunctioning system. Fix it first.

Ok. I’ll try out some new brake lines first and see if that fixes thank you.

the year of the car may be relevant.

If you continue to experience issues, you may wish to post the year of your Fiero... as yes, it makes a difference!

[EDIT] Heh heh, Richard's post appeared while I was posting.
