Front sway bar for an 88 SE? (Page 1/2)

Can a front sway bar off am '88 GT or Formula be added to an SE? Or are there significant differences in the A-arms?

88 Front sway bars are all the same.
Only difference between the GT and Formula was the addition of the rear sway bar.

Ahh, I was told the SE didn't have a front. I didn't question it because this SE doesn't handle nearly as crisp as my old Formula did. So same question, but the rear? Do you need to swap A-arms for the mounts, or are they there but not used on the base model?

There are no A-arms in the back of an '88 Fiero.

This may not be quite "factory", but it's close enough to demonstrate where the rear sway bar end links mount on an '88.

88 SE is a nonexistent Fiero model.

Which would help explain why it also has non-existent rear A-arms.

There is no difference in the rear suspension- the 88 rear stabilizer bar will fit an 88 base Fiero- just make sure you grab those brackets off the struts to mount the ends. (I made the custom brackets in the picture to angle the stabilizer bars so that brake dive and accel squat would vary the bar strength- improving turn-in and almost eliminating Snap-oversteer)

Link to my thread on stabilizer bar mounting (Note; I have an 85 SE V6 w/ 88 rear suspension (So the front suspension in my thread is actually 85 (Mounting may be different from my pictures); https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/140674.html

I haven't had a lot of experience with the 88, having only owned one Base Coupe (SE as you call it). I doubt you will be able to use a stock 88 front sway bar on the rear because the sway bar passes through the cradle.

My bad, I assumed "SE" was the moniker of the base model because saying "I have a Fiero Fiero" sounds dumb.

Awesome, thanks!
