Hi I have an 86 SE 2.8 Ferrari 308 Replica, so I moved to Amida f40 dash, I wired the Pisa wiring harness to transfer from regular cluster to saperate perate gauges, this harness is wired to the three main connector's wires, I end up with wires connectors to Speedo, tach, temp etc gauges and for bolbs, e. g. seat belt, engine service high beam etc, but I can't find the check engine at the three connector's wires, any ideas?

I have the same PISA gauge harness in my MERA. The blue butt connectors caused a ground problem down the road a few years. This is how I fixed my harness.

Mine is an 88, the 88 service manual shows a brown/white wire for the check engine light. It is on the same connector as turn signal and hi beam indicator lights. If I am looking at the diagram correctly it is on the bottom right of the connector, the wire above it is a ground wire.
Hope this helps.[This message has been edited by Larryinkc (edited 09-02-2024).]

Dear Larry, Thanks, I actually asked Pisa why there is only one ground cable whereas all three connectors have ground wires , they replay, ground is ground... I think I will connect more ground wires ro the harness
you are right, it's the brown /white wire, I jumpered A & B at the ALDL and checked the codes signal voltage with a probe, it shows a jumping level, in the range of 0.x or 0.0x volts, I am not sure if this is the voltage level that should be, and it might be the reason way the bulb is not lighting the codes,
I didn't have the codes light in the old cluster as well, so I replaced the ECM (250 dollars with taxes and shipment...) but it might be the same issue, do you know what might be the reason for that low voltage?[This message has been edited by itzikbns (edited 09-02-2024).]

I can't help with the ECM codes, mine has a 3800 swap.
I am pretty sure my ground problem was caused by the blue butt connectors that PISA used to construct the harness. I used crimp sleeves I made by cutting the ring off standard crimp ring terminals. When I fixed mine I soldered the crimp connectors after I crimped them and used heat shrink to insulate them. The gauges are still working as they should but it's only been a year.
Post some pics of your car, it will look great with the Amida dash. All the pics I have seen of his stuff looks to be first rate. I have a PISA 308 dash and door panels in mine. Anything looks better than the stock 80s GM interior.

Hi Wow! your car is beautiful! I agree, I ordered the f40 style dash from Robert Kushakabe (Amida), the gear tunnel and ECM cover from Pisa, I will upgrade the grounds per you suggestion, it might be the reason foe some issues I have, this is my car, I have been restoring it my self for the last three years, it looked purely when I bought it
this is how it looked upon arriving to Israel from Texas

Your car looks great, the paint and front bumper are really nice, keep up the good work. I like the way the headlights look too.
The Amida dash will add a lot to the overall look of your car.

Dear Larry, I manged to solve the issue, Pisa didn't put power to these bulbs, so I made it and now it's working.
my new issue is with the speedometer, please see image below from the manual I have #2 & #3 coming from the speed sensor and only one sensor input to the SpeedHUT gauge #4 should go to the ECM and there is no out put from the gauge, do you remember how did you connect yours?

I have the PISA dash kit with VDO gauges. I wired it the way the PISA instructions show. I can't remember exactly how the speedo is connected but I think it has 4 wires going to the gauge for speedo function. I can't locate the PISA manual that came with the dash to confirm exactly how it is hooked up.
