Long story short, I'm swapping a 4 speed from a 1986 GT initiative my 1984 duke. I'm having the new transmission rebuilt by a local chain shop and it's been in limbo for the past 3 weeks because they 'can't find a VIN to get the last seal'. I don't want to be 'that guy' and just tell them a part number, so I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share a VIN for an 86 GT equipped with the 3.65 4 speed?

Which seal?
They do not need a VIN to determine any seal in the transmission.

While I agree the VIN should not be needed to identify the seal for the transmission, whenever I do need a VIN to for a service (like getting an ecm base loaded with the calibration I want to use), I just go to Ebay, look up the make/model in the cars for sale, review the listings, and grab one of the VINs.
