Think it’s running rich, seems to be a little underpowered, and I can smell gas in exhaust. I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, o2 sensor, cat seems to test fine with back pressure test. Fuel pressure at test port is 35psi and raises to 41-42psi and holds there when turned off. Thoughts? What am I missing? ------------------

Ignition timing has been done with the ALDL jumper in place?
The timing mark on the harmonic balancer is known to be accurate? (...as the balancer's often go bad and the outer ring with the timing mark rotates on the hub.)
Are all the injectors working, not just half of them? (Check the two injector fuses.)[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 09-09-2024).]

No codes, I did the timing when I replaced the distributor, but will check it again tomorrow. Fuses checked both injector banks seem to be good. Not sure how to verify if the balancer is good and hasn’t slipped. [This message has been edited by FieroGT1987 (edited 09-09-2024).]

"Seem" to be good? Don't just look at them.  Either check for voltage on both sides of each fuse, or remove them and check for continuity. People get fooled all the time just eyeballing fuses.

Remove the #1 spark plug... then using something like a straw poked into the hole, make sure the wide timing mark is at 0° when #1 piston is at top dead center (while rotating the crank by hand).
